The Brazil forward bagged his first Premier League hat-trick, scoring three of Chelsea's four goals in their 4-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park
Joao Pedro showed his class to Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer after scoring a hat-trick in their 4-1 win at Aston Villa on Wednesday night. The Brazilian struck twice in the first half - first with the equaliser to cancel out Douglas Luiz's opener, then with a second to put the Blues ahead on the brink of half-time.
Palmer added Chelsea's third 10 minutes into the second half, before Pedro rounded off the scoring with his third of the night. After the match, Pedro posted a series of photos on Instagram, with Jorrel Hato, Malo Gusto, Estevao, Andrey Santos and Reece James among those commenting.
But the 24-year-old also sent a message to Palmer, who had shared pictures from the match on his account.
"What a player," Pedro wrote, followed by the ice‑face emoji - Palmer's trademark celebration.
The three‑word message underlined Pedro's true colours, still taking the time to praise Palmer even after scoring his first Premier League hat‑trick.

"It was a special day - everyone did a brilliant job. We still have nine games to look forward to and fight to be in the top four. All my goals came from being in the right place at the right time.
"The team expects that from me. The goals were always important."
Chelsea have closed the gap on Villa after the win and now sit just three points behind Unai Emery's side.
Attention now turns to the FA Cup, with a trip to Championship side Wrexham in the fifth round.
