John Terry weighs in on Mohamed Salah saga in bizarre TikTok from holiday

John Terry has come out in support of Mohamed Salah in a bizarre video filmed at what looks to be a skiing resort.

Salah's comments after Liverpool's draw with Leeds on Saturday have dominated the Liverpool news agenda since the game, with many fans and pundits weighing in with their take on the matter.

Making a rare mixed zone stop at Elland Road, Salah said the he and head coach Arne Slot no longer have a relationship, while also accusing the club of throwing him under the bus by taking him out of the team for recent games.

Salah has not started any of Liverpool's last three league fixtures, and hinted that he could have played his last game for the club.

The 33-year-old will only be available for two more games in 2025 – against Inter Milan and Brighton over the coming days – as he will link up with Egypt next week ahead of the start of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite Salah's suggestion that he could leave Liverpool, Terry said that Arne Slot needs to put him back in the team.

"I think he'd be the first person to say he's been out of form this season," Terry said, "but I have to agree with him as well – I think he has been made a scapegoat a little bit.

"A lot of Liverpool players have been out of form recently, and to leave him out of the squad... if there's one man that's going to win you a game, it's going to be him.

"It's a big call from the manager to leave him out completely and not even bring him on. When you need a goal as well if there's anyone you want to bring on...

"Also, when you keep him on side – if you bring experienced players into the office and you explain why you're leaving them out of the team, as a player you have nowhere to go, but being told that and being shown that respect is really important.

"Salah said that there's no relationship between him and the manager so clearly those conversations haven't gone on.

"I think Mo's shown his frustration with his recent interview, coming out after the game expressing his disappointment of being left out recently and being made the scapegoat.

"They've got some big games coming up, they need to get back to form, they need Mo back in the side."
