Manchester City are facing an injury crisis as they prepare to welcome Brighton to the Etihad in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Manchester City are facing an injury crisis ahead of a hectic few weeks. Pep Guardiola's side welcome Brighton to the Etihad on Wednesday night but could be without nine players for the clash.

Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri are away at the Africa Cup of Nations but the Blues have several injury absentees with Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias the latest casualties. City confirmed the nature of Gvardiol's injury in a statement on Monday night and the Croat may not play again this season.

Here's the injury latest from the Etihad.

City confirmed on Monday night that the defender had fractured his leg and faces an extended period on the sidelines.

The defender will have surgery later this week and assessment remains ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the injury and expected prognosis.
