Jurgen Klopp has reportedly decided what his next job will be if the former Liverpool boss returns to management.
The former Liverpool manager is understood to be settled in his wider football role after stepping away from the day-to-day demands of club coaching, although a new report suggests there is one specific route back into management that could tempt him. Since leaving Anfield, Klopp has been the subject of ongoing speculation about a potential return to the dugout, with supporters frequently discussing the possibility of a future reunion.
That speculation has intensified during periods of scrutiny on Arne Slot at Liverpool, though the latest indications suggest Klopp’s primary focus remains on an international management role rather than an immediate return to club football. Klopp is said to be a top target for Real Madrid as Los Blancos look to sack Alvaro Arbeloa.

The report suggests the former Liverpool boss is settled in his current role within the Red Bull football structure and is in no rush to re-enter the demanding week-to-week cycle he experienced at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
It also says that there is no suggestion that Real Madrid is actively pursuing Klopp, nor any indication that the former Champions League-winning boss with Liverpool is holding out for a move to the Bernabéu.
Klopp stepped away from Anfield earlier this year, citing a loss of energy for the relentless pressures of elite club football, and a switch to international management is viewed as a more suitable fit given its reduced day-to-day intensity.

From Germany’s perspective, the possibility is also straightforward to understand. While the national team job remains one of the most prestigious in world football, its standing and consistency in recent years has fluctuated, making the prospect of a high-profile appointment such as Klopp an appealing option.
Germany has endured a difficult run in major tournaments, exiting at the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the last 16 of Euro 2020, another group-stage elimination at the 2022 World Cup, and a quarter-final defeat at Euro 2024.

However, with international football cycles shifting quickly, another underwhelming tournament could again alter the outlook around the national team, potentially reopening the door for a figure such as Klopp.
Klopp, who retains strong ties with Liverpool following his departure, continues to be linked with a possible future return to the club in the long term. For now, though, attention is focused on a potential step into international management before any emotional reunion talk resurfaces in earnest.
