Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp joked that he looked like Yellowstone character John Dutton on Instagram on Saturday as he posted some pictures on social media.

Klopp, who works for Red Bull now, was sporting a cowboy hat and also showed off a moustache — comparing himself to Ted Lasso — as he headed to Mainzer Fastnacht, which is the carnival in the town of his first club.

The carnival begins on November 11 but concludes a few days before Ash Wednesday in the spring. And ex-Reds boss Klopp posted to his 5.5 million followers to show off his new look, with the weekend of festivities underway in the city.

Klopp has been linked with a return to management with Real Madrid but distanced himself from those rumors last month. He is enjoying his time with the Red Bull group, where he is head of global soccer.

"I never considered myself a world-class coach because I still had so many questions when I finished," Klopp told reporters in Leipzig in January shortly after Xabi Alonso was fired by Real Madrid.

"I was like, 'How can I be world-class with these questions still?'"

Content with how his life is shaping up without the day-to-day stresses of being at the head of a huge soccer team, Klopp was insistent that he is not planning to make a comeback at the moment.

"I don't expect to change my mind, but I don't know," Klopp said. "We're building a house right now and my missus wanted to have a really big trophy room.

"There was another small room and I said, 'This is enough because we know how many trophies we have, we will not add any'.

"It might sound arrogant but I know I can coach a football team. But I don't need to do it until my last day."

Earlier this week, Klopp was also put forward as an option for the Brazilian side Flamengo — at least in the eyes of its president.

"Filipe Luis isn't thinking about Flamengo 10 years from now," Luiz Eduardo Baptista told Diario AS. "His career might continue at Flamengo, but it might not.

"Just as Filipe can consider Europe, why couldn't Flamengo consider a European coach? If I can bring in Lucas Paqueta, why couldn't I bring in Klopp? Why couldn't I bring in another coach?"
