Key Liverpool star missing from Champions League training as Arne Slot set to offer injury update

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez was missing from the open training session that the Reds conducted ahead of hosting Galatasaray in the Champions League this week.

It could simply be that Gomez is being managed after playing 90 minutes in three successive games for Liverpool. Arne Slot will hold a press conference at 3.30pm UK time (11.30am ET) where he will offer an update.

Gomez played right-back against Galatasaray in the first leg and has featured at center-back in the fixtures on either side of that clash, starting versus Wolves in the FA Cup and then Tottenham in the Premier League.
