Kostas Tsimikas left Liverpool to join Roma on a season-long loan deal last summer, but the move has not worked out as he would have hoped and he's struggled for game time in Italy

Kostas Tsimikas is expected to return to Anfield at the end of the season having endured a disappointing loan spell at Roma.
The Greece international joined Roma on a season-long loan last summer, but he has struggled for minutes in the Italian capital, lining up in just four Serie A games.
There is no option for Roma to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign, and, as things stand, he is due to return to Merseyside in the summer. Interestingly, The Times reports that Tsimikas could be restored to Liverpool's first-team squad next season should Andy Robertson depart the club.

If Robertson does leave, Tsimikas could slot back in as Liverpool's back-up left-back behind Milos Kerkez during the 2026-27 season.
It is suggested that Tsimikas wouldn't be a long-term solution upon his possible return to Liverpool's squad, as his contract is up in 2027, but it would allow the club to focus on strengthening in other areas of the squad in this summer's transfer window.
Meanwhile, Robertson admitted last week that he doesn't know whether he will be a Reds player next season. "We'll see what happens," Robertson said when quizzed on his future. "We've had chats now, which will remain private. [I've] spoke to [the club] and we'll see what happens.
Asked whether he would like to stay at Liverpool, the Scotland captain said: "Yes, but it's a difficult question to answer.
"I've got five months left and we need to see the option to stay or if there's options to go and things like that. I'll sit down with my family and decide.

"After a stressful summer, I'm just trying to enjoy being a part of it, and being a Liverpool player.
"I wanted to qualify for the World Cup and thankfully we've managed to do that. I need to see what myself and my family wants moving forward."
Robertson has appeared 21 times for Liverpool this season but only 11 of those appearances have come as a starter, and he has lined up in just one of Liverpool's last eight games in the Premier League.
"I'm a player who wants to play," Robertson said. "I've played through injuries. I've played when I'm not 100% fit. I've played when I've only been 50, 40, 30% fit for this club and my country.
"I always want to be on the grass and playing and obviously now that's not happening, so that's what is different.
"But I do have a different role here this season, which I'm getting enjoyment out of, but at the end of the day, footballers want to play, and if anyone is sat happy on the bench, then they don't belong at any football club."
