Kylian Mbappe issues message to Rodrygo amid Arsenal links and transfer agreement truth

Kylian Mbappe has issued a message to Real Madrid teammate Rodrygo amid continued links of a potential transfer to Arsenal.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with signing Rodrygo this summer, with the forward facing an uncertain future with the La Liga giants.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in signing Rodrygo this summer, while reports in recent days have now seen Manchester City join the race for the Brazilian's signature.

Arsenal are still being linked with signing Rodrygo, although it remains to be seen if the Gunners are still the most likely destination for the forward, given the recent emergence of interest from Manchester City.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has recently claimed that in order for Man City to be able to sign Rodrygo, they must first reach an agreement with Tottenham for the transfer of Savinho.

Amid the speculation, Mbappe has sent a message to Rodrygo on social media.

The Madrid forward posted a photo on his Instagram story of the pair celebrating during their pre-season win over WSG Tirol. Madrid claimed a 4-0 victory with Rodrygo on the score sheet and Mbappe bagging a brace in Austria.

Mbappe included the caption: "Mi Primo", which translates to "my cousin" from Portuguese.

Arsenal have been linked with signing Rodrygo as they look to bring in another forward before the September 1 deadline.

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has also been linked with signing for the Gunners this summer, although it remains to be seen if Arsenal would be able to sign both Rodrygo and Eze before the transfer window closes.

Arsenal have already made six new signings so far this summer, including the additions of Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres to strengthen their forward options.

The Gunners have also signed Cristhian Mosquera, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga and there is the possibility of more new additions being made before the deadline in less than three weeks' time.
