Kylian Mbappe made Mohamed Salah feelings clear as Real Madrid star reacts to Liverpool spat

Mohamed Salah made himself the center of attention after Liverpool drew 3-3 with Leeds United at Elland Road last weekend, dropping several bombshells in an explosive interview.

The Egyptian accused Liverpool of "throwing him under the bus" and said his relationship with Arne Slot had completely broken down in a remarkable admission. The 33-year-old only signed a new contract in April of this year, but said promises made to him at the time have been broken since.

Someone at the club, he claimed, wants him out. Salah believes that the blame for Liverpool's struggles has been laid at his door when others could perhaps have been taken out of the team too.

After he posted on Instagram ahead of Liverpool beating Inter Milan in the Champions League, some key figures from around the soccer world added their endorsement to his gym selfie.

The entire sports community is waiting to see what happens next, but Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe showed their solidarity with Salah. Both players liked Salah's Instagram post earlier in the week, with the photo receiving over a million likes in just a few hours.

It is not the first time that Salah and Mbappe have crossed paths. "To talk about Mohamed Salah, he's one of the best players in the world," the Frenchman said in 2021.

Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe showed love to Mohamed Salah.

"He was the sixth finalist on the list at the Globe Soccer Awards [Men's Player of the Year] and has scored a lot of goals for Liverpool. He makes the difference and I love to watch him play. He is a great player."

Haaland, meanwhile, joked with Jamie Carragher about the situation on CBS Sports this week. The Liverpool legend came under fire from Salah, who said he would 'go for him' again in the wake of his comments.

"The third time on the bench, I think for the first time in my career," Salah said. "I'm very, very disappointed to be fair. I have done so much for this club down the years, and especially last season.

"Now I'm sitting on the bench, and I don't know why. It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame."

"He has every right to feel what he feels, but he doesn't have the right to share it with the media... he has that right but it's up to us to react on it," Slot said on Monday.

Slot later added: "I'm a firm believer that there's always a possibility to return for a player. So, I can leave it with that, I think."

Liverpool.com says: There is a decision to be made ahead of the weekend. Perhaps the ideal scenario could be that he goes to AFCON, which acts as a cooling-off period, before things can be patched over ahead of the second half of the season.
