Real Madrid and France international forward Kylian Mbappe has predicted that Arsenal will win the Premier League this season after finishing second to Liverpool and Manchester City in the past three seasons.
The Gunners have gone into this campaign desperate to take themselves one step further and win the Premier League. Mikel Arteta has earned plaudits for turning Arsenal into contenders again for the first time since Arsene Wenger's golden era.
However, there is a burning desire to now start winning silverware. In a bid to beat their rivals this year, Arsenal have got their cheque book out and added to their squad handsomely.
Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Eberechi Eze are among the players to have signed this summer. Despite this, Arsenal are not considered favourites to take the crown as Liverpool have also strengthened their side exceptionally too.
Alexander Isak's arrival was the cherry on top of their summer recruitment having already added the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez to their team. While the Gunners will feel they are the favourites internally, they will secretly relish the prospect of being underdogs this season.

It seems that Mbappe has faith in Arsenal to upset the big names at the top of the tree. When asked by BILD for his predictions for the Premier League this season, the Frenchman replied: "Of course, Liverpool has to be mentioned first and foremost, as they're determined to win one title after another.
"But I also have high hopes for Arsenal, because the core of the team has known each other for a long time, and that's a crucial factor in football. And Manchester City is always at the forefront anyway, with Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland."
After being pushed for an out-and-out winner of the Premier League, Mbappe responded: "That's tough. Maybe Arsenal, maybe it will be their year.
"It would certainly be easier to say City or Liverpool." Of course, the Premier League is not the only competition that Arsenal are setting their sights on this season.
Later this month, the Champions League is back with the Gunners kicking off their campaign away at Athletic Club on September 16. When asked for his predicted Champions League winners, Mbappe was much more predictable with his response.
"I always say Real Madrid," he explained. "But there are many good teams in Europe, a lot.
"We saw that last year was great with the new Champions League format. This year will be even better.
"It will be interesting to see who prevails in the end." Last season it was Arsenal who ended Los Blancos' hopes of winning the Champions League after defeating them 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
