Lamine Yamal Faces FIFA Window Challenge as Spain Lose PSG Star

The FIFA international window is here, and Spain will have two FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Bulgaria and Türkiye. While La Roja have Barcelona standout Lamine Yamal, they’ll be without an unsung hero for them in PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

Nonetheless, this is the first time that the Spanish national team have been together since losing the final in the Nations League to Portugal, in which Ruiz played. Ruiz has been that steady presence for Spain dating back to UEFA Euro 2024, helping the Spaniards lift that trophy.

Ruiz is off to a good start this season for PSG, recording one goal and one assist in four matches across all competitions. As for Yamal and Co., they will be traveling to Vasil Levski National Stadium to face Bulgaria on September 4. Then, they will have another road game with Spain as they travel to Konya Büyükşehir Arena to face Türkiye on September 7.
