Mikel Arteta has refused to rule out further incomings at Arsenal this summer ahead of the final three weeks of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners have signed six players so far with Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi the two headline arrivals. Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have also arrived to make-up a new-look squad for the 2025/26 season.
Following three seasons of missing out on the Premier League title, the north Londoners are aiming to pip Liverpool and Manchester City to the crown this campaign. However, despite spending close to £200million, their business could still rumble on.
Arteta has improved all areas of his squad this window but a new left-sided attacker is understood to be one position the Spaniard is keen to strengthen. Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze was believed to be a main target but Ethan Nwaneri's contract renewal and emergence of Max Dowman has lessened their desire to activate his £68million release clause, football.london understands.
On Saturday, the Gunners rounded-up their pre-season schedule with a convincing 3-0 win over La Liga side Athletic Club. Gyokeres scored his first goal for the club from Zubimendi's cross before Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz found the back of the net.
After the win, Arteta faced the media for the final time before he previews the opening game of the Premier League season and was asked about the prospect of the club remaining active in the window.
"Let's see what happens in terms of where the squad is at in the next few weeks," he replied. "We are actively looking at options, there are a few players that may have to leave also."
There are a number of players who are understood to be available this summer. Fabio Vieira is wanted by Stuttgart and Jakub Kiwior was linked with a move to FC Porto.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Reiss Nelson and Albert Sambi Lokonga could also move on.
