Joao Pedro led a Chelsea fightback that saw his side book their place in the last-16 of the Champions League. The forward scored twice in the second half to help the Blues beat Napoli 3-2 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Wednesday.
Chelsea had looked like being left to count the cost of poor form on the road in Europe and were facing a third away defeat in four games when Rasmus Hojlund gave the hosts the lead after Antonio Vergara had cancelled out Enzo Fernandez’s penalty.
But Pedro turned the game on its head just after the hour mark. First he smashed in an equaliser from the edge of the box before he finished off a fine counter-attacking move eight minutes from time.
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior was understandably delighted after the game, and he couldn’t help but gatecrash an interview matchwinner Pedro was conducting with Chelsea TV after the game.
After staring at his centre-forward for a couple of seconds, the two then broke out into laughter before hugging.

“I think he’s sick of my office, where I’ve said to him, if you play with intensity, with your quality, the quality comes out.
“The two goals are fantastic, but the way he held the ball up for the team, the way he sprinted and started that press – the harder you work, the better you are as a player and I’m very happy to have Joao in our team.”
On the game, the Chelsea boss added: "I thought the character of the players, their resilience in the second half and their reaction to going behind was so positive.

"I wanted to go aggressive in the first half – we had win-back moments in their half, but the gaps were too big, so we corrected it at half-time.
"Magnificent performance from Pedro. He has given me that since I have come to the club. For the lads to come from behind and show their character makes me very happy, head coach.
"I'm learning all the time about my team, about what we're capable of. I really wanted to be front-footed today. I wanted to go out and win the game.
"Jamie Gittens come on and made a huge difference. I have outstanding players. I have a group and I trust them. I told them that."
