Cole Palmer fired Chelsea to victory against Wolves on Saturday afternoon, completing his hat-trick shortly before half-time. Wolves began the second half in the ascendancy; Rob Edwards' side leapt out of the gates in the second half, with Tolu Arokodare beating Robert Sanchez from close range.
Shortly before the Blues locked horns with Wolves, Manchester United stormed past Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes fired the Red Devils to a 2-0 victory against Thomas Frank's side, who remain in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Meanwhile, United maintained their advantage over the Blues in the race for top-four – one point still separates the two clubs. Michael Carrick has now won each of his first four games in temporary charge, piling the pressure on Chelsea and Liverpool.
