Chelsea welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon with head coach Liam Rosenior set to make numerous changes to the side that beat Hull City last week

Chelsea are back in Premier League action at the weekend with struggling Burnley coming to Stamford Bridge.

The Clarets are 19th in the top-flight table heading into matchday 27 of the season. Scott Parker's men are in desperate need of points with Burnley staring down the barrel in terms of going straight back down to the Championship.

For Chelsea, they go into the weekend in fifth place, just a single point off Manchester United. With the Blues in action on Saturday afternoon, and United not playing until Monday evening, Liam Rosenior's team can move into the top four if they avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Three points is an absolute necessity for Rosenior as the Chelsea head coach looks to continue his impressive start to life in the Blues dugout. With that being said, football.london takes a look at some changes Rosenior could make to his XI.

A change at the back

Robert Sanchez looks set to continue in goal after keeping a clean sheet in Hull last week. With eight days between the two games, Rosenior could use Reece James at right-back again, but there might be a temptation to use Malo Gusto there instead.

Wesley Fofana is expected to continue as one of the centre-backs. Fofana partner Mamadou Sarr, who impressed in Hull last week. Sarr, though, could drop out of the side for Trevoh Chalobah, who seems to be Rosenior's go-to man in the middle of the Chelsea defence. Marc Cucurella is ruled out with a hamstring injury, meaning Jorrel Hato could continue on the left-hand side of the defence for the Blues.

Consistency in midfield

In front of the defence could be Andrey Santos and Moises Caicedo - with Dario Essugo and Romeo Lavia likely to remain out of action - as they continue to grow their relationship alongside one another. Enzo Fernandez could return to the XI in the No.10 role.

Santos and Caicedo seem to have a natural understanding with each other and Chelsea have looked far more balanced since the Brazilian has partnered the Ecuadorian in the middle.

Palmer decision to be made

Cole Palmer - fitness dependant, of course - should start on the right wing. Pedro Neto, who scored a hat-trick in last week's FA Cup win, could move to the left-hand side, with Joao Pedro leading the line for the west Londoners.

Liam Delap can be an option from the bench after recording a hat-trick of assists against Hull. Estevao Willian and Alejandro Garnacho are other options for Rosenior, while Jamie Gittens remains out due to a hamstring injury.

Potential Chelsea line-up: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Chalobah, Hato; Santos, Caicedo; Palmer, Fernandez, Neto; Joao Pedro
