Liverpool has added four players to its Premier League squad for the second half of the 2025/26 season, despite not making any senior transfers in January.

The Reds did conclude a deal for Jeremy Jacquet on deadline day, but the defender, who could cost up to £60 million ($82M), will not join the club until next summer.

However, youngsters Owen Beck and Harvey Davies returned to the club in January from respective loan deals in the EFL, and have now been included in the Reds’ senior squad for the second half of the season, as confirmed by the Premier League on Thursday.

Beck had been on loan at Derby County, where unfortunately, injury meant he was unable to make a competitive first-team appearance for the Rams.

His inclusion in the Liverpool squad could indicate he should be fit again this season, with the left-back currently undergoing rehabilitation on the injury.

Beck has played three times for Liverpool, but has not featured during Arne Slot’s tenure.

As for Davies, a figure who is well known by Liverpool’s goalkeeping department, the 22-year-old made 19 appearances on loan at Crawley Town, the last of which came on January 17.

Davies had previously lost his starting berth to Jacob Chapman, who signed on loan from Huddersfield Town during the mid-season window.

Davies’ return also coincides with reports that fellow Liverpool youth-team stopper Fabian Mrozek is set to join FC Cincinnati. Mrozek was included in the Reds’ squad earlier this season, but has not been named in the revised version released this week.

As for Davies, he signed a new contract at Liverpool last summer, but has yet to make a senior appearance for the club.

Davies left Liverpool on loan in June

While Liverpool did not make any first-team additions in January, it did make two Under-21s signings.

Noah Adekoya joined from Burnley, while Mor Talla Ndiaye was signed from Senegalese side Amitie FC. Both young center-backs have been included in the Reds’ Under-21 roster, and will therefore be able to represent Arne Slot’s senior side if required.

Despite Liverpool’s issues in defense, neither is expected to play a role at first-team level in the second half of the season.
