Ibrahima Konaté is heading into the final year of his Liverpool contract, and with no new deal agreed upon, speculation over his future at Anfield continues to grow amid reported interest from PSG.
PSG and Real Madrid are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation and could make a move if contract talks with the defender don’t progress before the January transfer window.
According to Foot Mercato, Konaté has attracted attention from several major European clubs, including PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. Despite the rumors, Liverpool opted to keep him over the summer rather than entertain offers.
Liverpool Won’t Make an Irrational Decision on PSG Target

It’s been a rough week for Konaté at Liverpool, sparking doubts about his long-term place in Arne Slot’s back line. The defender came under heavy criticism for his performance in the 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace, and the frustration only grew after the defeat to Galatasaray, with some fans calling for the club to move him on.
Despite his struggles, Football Insider Pete O’Rourke doesn’t see the Reds making a rational decision and looking to move on from him midseason, and it’s likely Liverpool will still want to sign him to a contract extension.

“I don’t think his form will have an impact on his long-term future,” O’Rourke said. “Obviously, Real Madrid are interested, there they are, keeping tabs on him and ready to move for Konate if he does run down his contract at Anfield.
“Liverpool really need Konate right now and they need him to step up because they’ve got injury problems in defence as well. Although he’s been bit shaky and not at his best so far this season, I don’t think it’ll have any massive impact on his long-term future. Liverpool want to keep him.”
