The Reds have beaten Barnsley and Brighton & Hove Albion to progress to the last 16 of the FA Cup, and found out their next opponent ahead of the clash between Macclesfield Town and Brentford.

Liverpool discovered its FA Cup fifth-round opponent on Monday.

The Reds will face a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the next stage of the competition. The fifth-round ties will be played on the weekend commencing Saturday, 7 March.

Liverpool was ball no.1 in Monday's draw, which was held before Macclesfield's fourth-round tie against Brentford.

Joe Cole and Karen Carney conducted pulled the balls out of the hat, with the Reds set to travel to Molineux twice in the space of a few days.

The Reds face Wolves on 3 March in the Premier League.

Arne Slot's side reached the fifth round of the FA Cup after defeating Barnsley and Brighton & Hove Albion in the last two stages of the competition.

Elsewhere in the draw, the standout tie pits Manchester City against Newcastle. Pep Guardiola's side eliminated the Magpies from the Carabao Cup earlier this month and meet this weekend in the Premier League.

Mansfield Town's reward for its cup exploits on Saturday is a home tie against Arsenal, while Chelsea will travel to Wrexham.
