Liverpool fans believe Mohamed Salah may have taken action against Jamie Carragher, despite the winger having stayed silent so far after being slammed by the former defender.
The pair’s war of words has reached new heights over the last few days following Salah’s extraordinary outburst against Liverpool and Arne Slot at the weekend. The 33-year-old accused the club of “throwing him under the bus,” while suggesting he could play his final game for the Reds this week.
Salah also called out Carragher during his tirade, claiming that the Liverpool legend would “go after me again and again” - something which he duly did during his appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
"I thought it was a disgrace what he did after the game,” Carragher said. “Some people have painted it as an emotional outburst, I don’t think it was.
"I think whenever Mo Salah stops in a mixed zone, which he’s done four times in eight years at Liverpool, it’s choreographed with him and his agent to cause maximum damage, and strengthen his own position."
Salah is yet to respond directly to Carragher, although he did post on social media for the first time since his outburst on Tuesday, having been left out of Liverpool’s traveling squad for the Champions League game against Inter Milan.

The Egypt international shared a picture of himself working alone in the gym at the club’s training ground, which garnered plenty of support from his teammates past and present.
The picture also caught the attention of Carragher, who reposted it on his X account along with the message: “I’m not sure I’ve wanted Liverpool to win a game more than tonight for a long time!”
It was noticeable though that Carragher had shared the picture via a post from Sky Sports Premier League, despite Salah having also put the picture on his X account.
And some Liverpool fans feel this might not have been a coincidence. One supporter picked up on it, posting: “He couldn’t quote Salahs’ [sic] tweet cos he got blocked.”
It’s not clear whether Salah has taken any action against Carragher on social media, although it wouldn’t come as a surprise given the pair’s history.
They have clashed on a few occasions, most notably last year after Salah had called the club out as his contract entered its final few months, although Carragher has insisted he still wants to see the winger patch things up with Liverpool.
“Whether he will play for Liverpool again, I don't know,” Carragher added on Monday. “I hope he does, because he's one of the greatest players we've ever had, but if you continue like that and statements like that, if he doesn't play, as I've said, who knows.”
