Dominik Szoboszlai has been branded "arrogant" following his reaction toward the away Liverpool supporters after the team's crushing 4-0 loss to Manchester City.
Following an encouraging opening, Arne Slot's players were demolished at the Etihad Stadium, with the outcome eliminating them from the FA Cup. Liverpool were given an allocation of 8,000 tickets for the quarterfinal, though the overwhelming majority had departed before the final whistle.
City had already established a four-goal advantage before the 60-minute mark, predominantly courtesy of Erling Haaland's treble, and the Reds' day deteriorated further when Mohamed Salah saw his penalty kept out in the dying moments.

The Hungarian tried to rally Liverpool's loyal supporters, who were forced to witness another humiliating defeat in what has been a dismal campaign.
Following repeated shoulder shrugs, Szoboszlai ceased his applause and gestured with his arms. The 25-year-old appeared not to receive the response he'd hoped for and needed to be ushered away by Federico Chiesa.

A clip capturing Szoboszlai's actions has spread rapidly across social media, sparking fury among supporters.
One fan vented: "Do these players have a clue the cost of going to all these games after working hard all week, with the overwhelming majority of fans spending a large portion of their working-class wages watching this? And these millionaire players have the cheek to ask for more support."
Another chimed in: "F------ such an arrogant player. How can he be prepared to kick the paying traveling supporters?"
Meanwhile, a third took to X to say: "Traveling fans pay your wages, clap and get down the tunnel, theatrics don't work with the supporters."
After his display of frustration, Szoboszlai addressed TNT Sports and took aim at his colleagues for lacking sufficient "fighting spirit."
"The mentality wasn't there enough," the midfielder stated. "None of us were there to be honest, as much as we could. It's a hard time, but we have to stick together.
"On Wednesday, there is another chance, but we have to get in our head this is not the season we would like to end."
The Reds head to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday for the opening leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie, before welcoming Fulham to Anfield the following Saturday.
