Liverpool fans offered up brief boos at full-time after the Reds drew 1-1 with Burnley in the Premier League at Anfield.

Dominik Szobozslai had the opportunity to give the Reds the lead in the first half at Anfield just after the half-hour mark when Cody Gakpo was brought down inside the area by Burnley's Florentino Luis, only to see his penalty effort cannon off the crossbar.

Thankfully for the Hungarian, his blushes were spared when Florian Wirtz put the Reds just before the break with a stunning strike that Burnley keeper Martin Dubravka could do nothing about.

However, after the break, Burnley looked much brighter after offering little in the opening 45 minutes of action. On 65 minutes, they bagged an equalizer through Marcus Edwards after the Burnley midfielder latched onto a Luis through ball to fire home past Alisson.

Liverpool did have the ball in the back of the net following Edwards' goal through Hugo Ekitike, only for it to be chalked off due to the Reds forward being offside following Virgil van Dijk's initial header.

While the Reds were statistically the most dominant of the two sides, Arne Slot's side could not find a way to grab a second, with a smattering of boos ringing out around Anfield once Andy Madley had blown for full-time.
