Liverpool faces an anxious wait to discover the extent of the injury sustained by Alexander Isak against Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday, with fears it could require a lengthy lay-off.
The 26-year-old sustained a problem to his lower left leg as he scored to break the deadlock in North London. Isak was challenged by Micky van de Ven and had to be helped off the field.
While scans have not yet come back to confirm the full extent of the injury, it is logical that there are fears it could be a serious issue. The Athletic says there are "concerns" that he could be sidelined for a lengthy spell.
Signed from Newcastle United for a fee of around $169 million (£125 million) in September, Isak has only started six Premier League games for Liverpool since.
Saturday's goal was just his second in the English top flight, with fellow summer arrival Hugo Ekitike ensuring the Reds picked up the points with a header a few minutes later.
Arne Slot will offer another update in his pre-match press conference ahead of taking on Wolves. However, he was unable to give a proper update on the injuries that Liverpool sustained in the fixture immediately after the final whistle.
"I don't have any news on [Isak], but if a player scores, then gets injured and then doesn't come back on the pitch and doesn't try to come back [it's not a good sign]," Slot said.
"Conor Bradley, for example, did, but I had to take him off as well because he couldn't go on, but if a player doesn't even try to come back that's usually not a good thing.
"I cannot say anything more than that. That is just [a] gut feeling. Nothing medical to say about it. I haven't spoken to him about it yet.
"It's a good thing that he scored: a good goal, assisted by Florian Wirtz. I said last week already, players are getting better and the team is getting better.

"Again, it wasn't perfect today, especially not in the last 10 minutes, but in the meantime we pick up points and I see the team developing in a way I like to see."
