Mohamed Salah has dealt Liverpool a new injury concern after he was forced off against Crystal Palace, and there are serious fears he may have played his final game for the club

Mohamed Salah’s injury against Crystal Palace put a dampener on what was otherwise another step in the right direction for Liverpool on Saturday.
The Reds are closing in on Champions League qualification now after the 3-1 victory at Anfield. A maximum of six points will be needed from the final four games, but that tally could even come down before next weekend’s clash with Manchester United.
What’s worrying for Arne Slot though is that his injury list has grown even more, and the addition of Salah raises new concerns ahead of a crucial final month of the season, with the Egyptian having been holding his hamstring as he came off against Palace.

Mohamed Salah
There are fears that Salah may have played his last game for Liverpool after coming off on Saturday. With his departure already confirmed this summer, a hamstring injury is the last thing he or the fans would have wanted.
And Salah himself almost seemed to acknowledge that he might have just appeared for the final time as a Red, having taken his time to applaud the Anfield crowd as he made his way off the pitch. Even more worrying were Arne Slot's comments afterwards.
"It's too early to say but we all know Mo and how hard it is for him to leave the pitch," Slot told BBC Sport's Match of the Day. "For Mo to leave the pitch, it shows you something but we have to wait and see how bad it is."
Salah is set to undergo tests to get to the bottom of the problem. Everyone will be keeping their fingers crossed for some good news.
Possible return date: Unknown
Alisson Becker
There is better news for Alisson, who should be back in action soon. Slot even suggested that the Reds' first-choice goalkeeper was close to making his return against Palace.

"Almost but also not 'almost' – that means that he's close to a return to play but not close enough to start," Slot revealed ahead of Saturday's game.
Freddie Woodman's performance will certainly have settled a lot of nerves about fielding a third-choice keeper during such a crucial run, but Alisson will hopefully be back to reclaim his place soon.
Possible return date: May 3 vs Manchester United
Giorgi Mamardashvili
Giorgi Mamardashvili's injury came at a bad time for the backup goalkeeper. With just a few games remaining, he might have been able to stake a genuine claim to retain his place in goal even after Alisson's return.
As it is though, he's set for at least another week out after being stretchered off against Everton. Initial reports after that game indicated his injury was not as bad as first feared, and that he would be out of action for anywhere between two to four weeks - fingers crossed it's the lower end of that scale.
Possible return date: May 17 vs Aston Villa
Hugo Ekitike
Hugo Ekitike's season has been ended in such cruel fashion, and unfortunately for the striker, it's not going to be quick return next season.
A ruptured Achilles tendon means he will miss the World Cup, in which he was set for a big role after impressing for Didier Deschamps' side over recent months. He will then be missing for Liverpool's pre-season, and even in the best-case scenario, he probably won't be back until the 2026/27 campaign is well underway.

Wataru Endo
It's much better news for Wataru Endo, who could well make a surprise return before the end of the season.
The midfielder has been in a race against time after being stretchered off against Sunderland in February, and it looked like a race he would lose as the clock ticked down to the end of the season. Slot though has confirmed that he is on course to return before the campaign ends, which will be great news for Japan ahead of the World Cup.
“Wata is starting to go out, not with the team yet, but starting to do exercises outside on the pitch with the rehab team,” Slot said on Friday.
“He’s making steps, but he will not be available next week for United or the week after. But we are hoping and expecting him to be back in the end of the season.”

Conor Bradley
Conor Bradley will be hoping for a much better year next season. With Trent Alexander-Arnold having moved on, this should have been the right-back's big chance to nail down his spot.
Alas, his season ended in January, and now he will have to focus on getting himself fit in time for the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
Possible return date: 2026/27 season
Giovanni Leoni
Like Bradley, Giovanni Leoni will be hoping to make his presence felt much more next season after what has essentially been a false start to his Liverpool career.
Having ruptured his ACL on his debut all the way back in September, the young center-back has had to patiently wait for his return. He has been spotted in videos from the training ground recently, but it won't be until pre-season when we really see him getting back up to speed with the rest of his teammates.
