Arne Slot has come in for plenty of criticism this season and the Reds are yet to win in the Premier League in 2026, after recording four successive draws

UFC star Paddy Pimblett thinks that Liverpool could end up firing Arne Slot at the end of the season after a difficult campaign for the Dutch head coach.
Slot won the Premier League at a canter during his first season in charge, but the Reds currently find themselves 14 points off top spot after mounting a disappointing title defense.
Liverpool drew 1-1 with Burnley on Saturday — the Reds' fourth successive draw in the Premier League — and ahead of the game Pimblett described the Reds as "boring" to watch, and said he thinks Slot could be relieved of his duties in the summer. “I’ve never been one to say ‘sack him, sack him’, but at the end of the season, I can see them parting ways," Pimblett said.

“I’m sick of this passing backwards and then back to the keeper. I’d rather someone just have a shot or just hoof it up, all this passing around the back four absolutely does my head in.
“I’ve been at the games the last few weeks, that Leeds game (0-0 draw on New Year's Day) was one of the worst gam es of football I’ve ever watched."
Liverpool took a first-half lead against Burnley on Saturday through Florian Wirtz, but ended up drawing after Marcus Edwards equalized in the second half.
The club remains in the top four of the table – but only by a single point after Manchester United's surprise victory over Manchester City earlier in the day.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard gave his view on the Reds' recent form, describing the draws with Leeds and Burnley since the turn of the year as "not acceptable".
"That won't be acceptable – a draw with Burnley at home, with all due respect," Gerrard said on TNT Sports. "If you're being critical of the Liverpool team – even though they're on a better run in terms of unbeaten games – the draws to the likes of Leeds and Burnley at home. That's not acceptable.
"There will be a lot of criticism that comes the manager's way again. But give the manager credit.
"The last time we spoke about this, you asked me if the team was in a crisis, and I said I didn't think it was in a crisis because I felt like this manager was capable of making things better and steadying the ship.
"He has moved the team from the middle of the table and up back into the Champions League positions.
"I think that will be a priority for him and the team, minimum top four this season, but that won't take anything away from the criticism that will come his way."
