Didi Hamann says Liverpool has got the future of its attack sorted out ahead of time with the summer additions of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, alongside Florian Wirtz.
Arne Slot's side didn't struggle for goals last season but has invested plenty of money in finding new sources of goals, letting Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez move on. And with Mohamed Salah now 33 years old, Hamann believes those signings can help spread the load across the Liverpool team and lessen the burden on the Egyptian.
"I think the most important thing is to look at the team goals," Hamann told Coin Poker. "How many did they score last season? 86 goals in the Premier League.
"If the team scores more goals than last season, then everyone's a winner. It's often better anyway to share the goals around. In Hugo Ekitike, and now in Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, they will share the goals around.
"Even if Mohamed Salah gets double figures from open play, which he's well capable of, I think he still has a tremendous impact for the team."
Salah netted 29 goals in the Premier League last season, with Isak second on the scoring charts with 23 for Newcastle. Ekitike got 22 in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt, while Wirtz got 31 goals and assists combined for Bayer Leverkusen.
"I think we can find one or two extra weapons this team doesn’t have," Slot said at the end of last season when his team had been confirmed as Premier League champions.
"Maybe, maybe, by using the transfer market. That is what we are trying to achieve. That will make us only stronger.
"That is what we need because we saw [Manchester] City spending £200m in the [January] transfer window. All of them will. Apart from the transfer window, we can also improve certain aspects ourselves."
Virgil van Dijk also predicted that Liverpool would go big in the market, offering his take on what was to come in a chat with reporters at Anfield.

"Whatever happens in terms of players going out, players coming in, I think it should be a big summer," the Dutchman declared shortly before his two-year extension was announced.
"I think they're planning to make it a big summer, so we all have to trust the board, as a Liverpool-connected fan, to do the right job. I think Liverpool should be able to challenge for titles in the upcoming years."
Liverpool.com says: The Reds' attack looks very strong with Isak coming in. There will be more than enough minutes to go around and it was vital that Arne Slot ensured he had enough options to change games from the bench.
