Xabi Alonso is being tipped as a potential replacement for Thomas Frank at Tottenham, should the club opt for a managerial shake-up.
The former Liverpool ace is currently without a role after being fired by Real Madrid last week. Frank's stint as Tottenham boss has been under the microscope recently, with speculation mounting following the team's defeat to West Ham.
Spurs endured a 2-1 loss to the Hammers in Saturday's Premier League fixture, leaving them languishing in 14th position in the league standings. Spurs have only managed to secure one win in their last seven Premier League matches, a poor run of form that has sparked rumors about Frank's future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Independent suggested on Sunday that the Spurs board is contemplating replacing Frank ahead of Tuesday's Champions League showdown against Borussia Dortmund.
It's claimed that at least one club executive is considering the option of dismissal.
Reports on Monday suggested that Frank will be in charge on Tuesday, but he could be fired if Tottenham suffers another loss.
Alonso is mentioned in The Independent's report as a potential contender to fill Frank's boots if a change is implemented.

However, the report also suggests that Alonso could turn down the London role if it's presented to him, as the former Madrid boss is understood to be holding out for what he perceives as "better options" when the season concludes.
Alonso departed Real earlier this month following Los Blancos' defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.
The former Liverpool midfielder has been replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa, a former teammate from his Anfield days, who has taken temporary charge of the La Liga team.
The report does note, however, that Alonso isn't the sole name being considered to take over from Frank at Tottenham, with Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner also emerging as a potential candidate.
For the time being, at least, Spurs are sticking with Frank as their boss, though it remains to be seen whether a change will be made ahead of the midweek Champions League clash with Dortmund.
Alonso has also been touted as a future Liverpool manager, as well as Manchester United, who are set to appoint a permanent replacement for Ruben Amorim in the summer.
