The international break may actually come as a welcome relief to Liverpool fans after what has been a nightmare week.
Saturday's defeat at Chelsea was the Reds' third consecutive loss in all competitions - the first time that has happened under Arne Slot's leadership, and it means the lead in the Premier League title race has been surrendered to Arsenal.
It is still just a one-point lead, and having only played seven games, there is plenty of time for Liverpool to claw that back, but it will have to improve massively on recent showings once it returns from the international break against Manchester United on October 19.
In the meantime, Slot will hope for some good news on the injury front, with both Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson giving him scares at Stamford Bridge.
The Liverpool boss revealed Konate was substituted after feeling a problem with his quad, while Robertson looked to be struggling at the end of the game, although there's no official word on a problem for him.
