Liverpool returns to Premier League action on Sunday when the Reds take on Burnley, which means the international break is nearly over — and Alexander Isak could make his debut in that fixture too.
Having played 20 minutes or so for Sweden earlier in the week, Isak looked in good enough shape to make the bench at the weekend, even though he won't be starting the fixture after missing almost the whole summer of pre-season.
Isak was spotted arriving at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday to meet his teammates, where he met the likes of Federico Chiesa and Stefan Bajcetic. The rest of the group will return in stages over the next couple of days.
Elsewhere, Hugo Ekitike got a few seconds off the bench for France, and Arne Slot has four potential injury worries heading into the weekend. He will address the media on Friday in a pre-match press conference.
