Liverpool looks to have subtly poked fun at Everton following Sunday’s dramatic Merseyside derby win.
The Reds of course took bragging rights in the first ever meeting between the two sides at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Virgil van Dijk’s stoppage-time winner boosting the visitors’ Champions League hopes, while denting the European ambitions of their neighbor.
Arne Slot and his players revelled in the victory at full-time, which saw Liverpool do the double over Everton this season after also beating the Toffees at Anfield back in September, and it seems as though the Reds weren’t done with piling on the misery at the weekend.

The club’s cameras were in place at the AXA Training Centre on Thursday to capture the players arriving for their latest session, and there appeared to be a quiet dig at Everton that some may have missed.
While some of the Reds’ stars were hanging out at the club’s coffee bar, the song ‘We Built This City’ could be heard playing in the background, with Andy Robertson even signing along to it at one point.
Some Liverpool fans picked up on it on social media, and believe it may have been the club mocking Everton once again.
Before Sunday’s derby, a giant tifo was displayed in one of the home ends which dubbed Everton as “The Originals”, in reference to the club having been founded before Liverpool in 1878, while the Reds were formed in 1892.
The display showed a picture of Everton’s former home of Goodison Park, alongside a road sign showing the message “We Built This City”, suggesting that Liverpool’s choice of music in training might not have just been a coincidence.

The Reds have certainly enjoyed themselves after Sunday’s win, with head coach Slot encouraging his side to revel in the victory.
"Throughout the season, all these games with the all these games and the limited players available have hurt and cost us quite a lot of points,” Slot said at the weekend. “But today is definitely a day for the fans to be happy. That's what we will be."
He added: "We are going to enjoy it. My staff, my players and me. There is no difference between us and the fans; we would have loved to have had a better season than we've had.”
