Lewis Koumas has disclosed that he's had transfer discussions with Liverpool, but is happy to stay on loan at Birmingham City after earning a spot in the team's starting XI recently.
The Welshman had a fruitful loan spell in the Championship with Stoke City last season, netting six goals and providing three assists in 49 appearances, 31 of which were starts. The 20-year-old, who marked his Reds debut with a goal against Southampton in February 2024, returned to the Championship on loan when he signed for Birmingham in August.
However, his opportunities to start at St. Andrew's have been scarce. To date, the forward has made 23 appearances, only seven of which were starts.

Given his limited playing time, there were rumors of an early return to Liverpool for Koumas, as he found himself lower down the pecking order than players like Demarai Gray.
As a result, Koumas held discussions with his parent club about his situation.

But with the ex-Everton winger currently out due to injury, and Koumas impressing in the FA Cup against Cambridge last weekend in Gray's absence, making consecutive starts, the Reds' loanee isn't rushing to make a decision about his future at Birmingham.
This comes after manager Chris Davies finally gave him more opportunities in his preferred position.
"We've obviously had conversations (with Liverpool), but I'm keeping my head down, working hard, and we'll see what happens," he told BirminghamLive.
"Last year, I played 49 games and started a big majority of them.
"It's been a different start this year, but whenever I get put in, I'm ready to give my best.
"I really like the gaffer. He sees my attributes well. We spoke about it before I came in, and I've been working hard in training for months and months now, just so I'm ready when I go on the pitch.
"Getting a goal, especially against a team like Coventry, boosts your confidence instantly.
"Me being a confidence player, I need that to go and perform freely without any sort of pressure on my back."
