Bayern Munich is reportedly "wary" of Liverpool's interest in Michael Olise amid an apparent contract standoff with the former Crystal Palace forward.

Olise has established himself as one of the best wingers in Europe since his move to Bayern in 2024, and although he is contracted to the German giant for another three years, the Bundesliga team is keen to tie him down for even longer. However, it is reported by German football expert Christian Falk that Bayern risks Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City swooping for him if negotiations drag on.

Falk said that Liverpool and City are both interested in the 24-year-old, who has tallied 33 goals and 48 assists in 91 appearances in all competitions for Bayern.

Bayern is reportedly keen for Olise to sign a contract extension until 2031.

Liverpool could be in the market for a new right-sided forward this summer, with Mohamed Salah's future at the club beyond this season looking uncertain.

Salah is contracted to Liverpool until 2027, having signed a two-year extension last April, but his form has dipped dramatically this season and he could be sold in the summer.

The Egyptian is Liverpool's highest-paid player, earning over half a million dollars each week, and has scored just five Premier League goals all season.

Liverpool is expected to receive interest in Salah from clubs in the Saudi Pro League during the off-season.

Salah remains the biggest-name player in the Arab world, and would be able to command a monstrous contract in Saudi Arabia, despite his drop-off in form.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is also being linked with a move to sign Inter Milan defender Federico Dimarco.

Sports Boom says that the Reds view Dimarco as the only player in world soccer that is capable of producing the same attacking threat as Andy Robertson, who is likely to leave Liverpool as a free agent in the summer.

Six clubs are reported to be interested in signing Robertson ahead of the expiry of his contract.

TEAMtalk said last week that Tottenham – which looked at signing him in January – was expected to come back in for him.

Other Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Wolves were also mentioned as interested parties, but Wolves would obviously be a non-starter as a Championship club.

Atletico Madrid, which was linked with Robertson last summer, was said to be an option, while Celtic was said to be the sixth club that is interested in the Scotland skipper.
