Liverpool has already been very active in the summer transfer market, but with another 38 days remaining until the window slams shut, sporting director Richard Hughes doesn't appear to be slowing down.
The Newcastle striker, Alexander Isak, could be next on the agenda. He has seemingly indicated to his current club that he wants to leave after Liverpool made an approach last week. Meanwhile, Hugo Ekitike has joined up with his teammates in Hong Kong, and the likes of Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott could still be on the way out.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds on Friday. Isak, of course, is the story that we need to round up first.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle)
The first outlet to break the news that Isak had asked Newcastle to allow him to leave, the Daily Mail reports that the Swede is unhappy with Magpies bosses for breaking what he thought was a promise regarding a new contract.
Amanda Staveley, who is no longer involved with Newcastle, had supposedly assured Isak that new terms would be forthcoming last summer. New sporting director Paul Mitchell, however, was not on board with that plan.
Newcastle has had to be careful with PSR regulations, and he thought, with four (and now three) years left to run on Isak's deal, that agreeing an extension was not an important priority. The 25-year-old and his camp, though, disagree.

Last summer, the report says, Isak was left "furious." It was therefore supposedly only a matter of time before he asked to leave, with Liverpool an attractive proposal in terms of finances and sporting project.
Liverpool.com says: Isak is well within his rights to believe that he should be earning more money. With Newcastle valuing him at around $175M, he can ask for a salary that lines up with that status.
More importantly, though, Liverpool is much more likely to win trophies next season. Turning 26 in September, Isak won't want to waste time in his career. Newcastle is in the Champions League this season, but it is the Anfield side who are among the favorites to win it.
Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace has decided to sell its captain, Marc Guehi, this summer, rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2025. That is according to Ben Jacobs, who was speaking on the 'Market Madness' podcast.
It is said that in the last couple of days, Guehi has reiterated to Palace that he won't be renewing his terms. As a result, the South London side would like to cash in.
However, while Palace would be open to a sale, it has set a valuation of $61 million (£45 million). For Liverpool to be tempted, it would have to be a lower fee than that for the England ace, who could be signed for nothing next year.
Liverpool.com says: Having sold Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, it would be a huge risk not to replace him. Joe Gomez is a solid player but gets injuries, and Ibrahima Konate's long-term future is uncertain.
For all the good work that has been done in the market this summer, with plenty of exciting moves, going into the new season with only three senior center-back options would be a major gamble. Guehi is just one option under consideration.
