The remainder of the season will be decisive for Liverpool in the club's direction moving forward, despite the chances of earning silverware appearing slim.

Arne Slot is under increasing pressure, with the weekend's exit from the FA Cup compounding with struggles in the Premier League, while PSG remain an obstacle in any hope of winning the Champions League.

Regardless of how the following months play out across the final two competitions, Liverpool needs a rebuild in the summer transfer window to improve across several different positions.

Mohamed Salah's exit has already been confirmed for the summer, while links to forwards, midfielders, and defenders continue to appear before the market opens. once again.

So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool transfer rumors, with a verdict from Liverpool.com on each potential deal for the Reds.

Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid) and Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool)

With both Liverpool and Real Madrid looking to switch up midfield options, TeamTalk reports that a potential "blockbuster deal" could see Eduardo Camavinga and Alexis Mac Allister move between the two clubs this summer.

The report claims that the Reds have been long-term admirers of the French midfielder, with his camp "assessing" some possible destinations, if he is to leave the Bernabeu in the summer.

Recent links have suggested that Los Blancos would be open to a sale in the summer, but with plans to bolster their own ranks, with Manchester City's Rodri and Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez linked.

However, Mac Allister is claimed to be another player on Real Madrid's radar, with just two years remaining on his contract at Anfield.

While a swap deal is claimed to be unlikely, due to financial reasons, the report suggests that a move between the clubs is still possible in separate transfers.

Liverpool.com says: This is a move that seems unlikely, as there are a lot of moving parts to get something like this through for both the clubs and the players.

While Liverpool does need a midfield shakeup, with someone who can dictate play, Camavinga may be a player who isn't quite ready to do that every week in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has suffered seven injuries in the past two seasons, missing 45 games for club and country, which adds another concern to the move.

That said, question marks will remain over the future of Mac Allister, as he nears the final 24 months of his contract at Anfield, with a decision to be made over an extension or a possible exit.

Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen)

Liverpool still has the option to trigger a buy-back clause for former defender Jarell Quansah from Bayer Leverkusen, but only until the end of May, according to Sky Germany.

Jarell Quansah of Bayer 04 Leverkusen is challenged by Christian Conteh of 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 during the Bundesliga match between 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen

The clause is set at €80 million ($93.5 million), but there is currently no indication from either Liverpool or Quansah that this clause will be activated.

The report suggests that the current focus is being placed on extending Ibrahima Konate's deal beyond this summer, when he is set to become a free agent.

Liverpool.com says: While Liverpool does need to improve the center-back ranks this summer, a move for Quansah would be extremely expensive.

For the price of his buy-back clause, the Reds could find other top defenders who will be able to make an immediate impact, while some development may be needed for the former academy star if he returns.
