Mohamed Salah came on and proved a point for Liverpool as the Reds beat Brighton in the Premier League, but that won't be the last we hear of speculation that he could move to the Saudi Pro League.
Replacing the injured Joe Gomez against the Seagulls, Salah was a strong performer for Liverpool on the day, setting up the second goal for Hugo Ekitike with a perfectly placed corner kick. After the game, he walked through the mixed zone but didn't stop for a chat as he did at Leeds.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today. In addition to more claims about Salah emerging, there is another player who is being linked with an exit.
Ibrahima Konate wanted
Inter Milan would be interested in signing the Liverpool center-back Ibrahima Konate next year, with Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi — of course, a target for the Reds — also said to be someone on the Serie A side's radar.
The Italian outlet L’Interista has claimed Liverpool would sell Konate for a fee of around $18 million (£13 million) in January rather than losing him for nothing, as long as that sum could be reinvested in bringing Guehi to Anfield.

Both defenders are out of contract at the end of the season as things stand. Guehi, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has already confirmed, will be moving away from Selhurst Park either in the winter or summer.
Liverpool.com says: Bringing Guehi in feels like a logical next step for the Reds in their defense. Ideally, though, they would keep Konate as well and have the pair battle it out for a place.
While he has not had the best of seasons, the Frenchman is still a good player. Losing him for no transfer fee, in particular, would seem a shame as he enters what should be his peak years.
Mohamed Salah latest
After a good performance against Brighton, the speculation surrounding a potential exit for Salah (longer than just the AFCON, anyway) might subside for a bit.
"Can also reveal if Saudi clubs are to make an approach, no new funding for January will be provided by the Player Acquisition Centre of Excellence (PACE)," Ben Jacobs wrote on X/Twitter regarding Salah ahead of the game.
"The seasonal budget is already allocated, and Saudi clubs, for Salah or any other star in January, must find a means to fund a transfer without relying on new central funding."
Salah, clearly, should be staying at Liverpool at least until the end of the season. He hasn't played at his peak levels so far this year, but the Brighton game was a reminder of exactly what he can do.
Come the end of Egypt's participation in AFCON, for however long that lasts, Salah should return to Liverpool. If he carries on playing like he did this weekend, he will have no problem being a regular in the starting XI again.
Liverpool.com says: It didn't feel like a permanent goodbye when Salah was walking around the pitch at Anfield. Come January, given the injuries and lack of depth in some areas, Liverpool needs more players, not fewer.
