Hugo Ekitike could be next through the door for Liverpool but he is unlikely to be the final addition of the summer. The transfer window is certainly heating up, with the Reds considering a few more deals..
They made an approach to their Premier League rivals Newcastle United on Tuesday for Alexander Isak, fresh off the back of the Magpies making a first bid for Hugo Ekitike.
The situation has since developed, with Eintracht Frankfurt having turned down that offer, while Liverpool has since approached the Bundesliga club about Ekitike, with the Reds looking to pounce should Newcastle continue to stand firm on Isak.
It all makes for an intriguing saga, and that's not the only dominating the headlines at the moment. Harvey Elliott is still likely to leave, as are plenty of others.
Luis Diaz's future continues to be a major talking point, with Liverpool having turned down an offer from Bayern Munich and insisting the winger isn't for sale. Diaz though looks to have made his mind up after telling the club he wants to leave.
Meanwhile, it looks like there could be a race for Rodrygo's signature this summer, and Liverpool could well be involved.

Alexander Isak intrigue
The agent of Alexander Isak, Gonzalo Gaitan, is quoted as having spoken to the Saudi Arabian publication Arriyadiyah.
He said: "We are indeed studying and analysing all options, and we may be close to finalising the next step for the player."
What does that mean? It's cryptic and it remains to be seen. It could be a move away. It could also be a new contract at Newcastle, which he would be more than deserving of for his exploits at St James' Park.
