Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster reckons Liverpool should cash in on Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk for £50 million ($68.9 million) each following their dip in form.
If the Reds do so, that would see them bank £100 million ($137.8 million). The two Liverpool stalwarts both signed lucrative new contracts at Anfield in April last year after prolonged speculation about their futures.
Supporters breathed a sigh of relief at the time when the Merseyside club secured two of its most valuable players until at least summer 2027. Salah and Van Dijk were pivotal in Arne Slot's side clinching the Premier League title last season.

Both players looked off the pace again during the Reds' 3-2 loss to Bournemouth last weekend, and former England and Wrexham keeper Foster reckons keeping them could turn out to be a costly mistake.
Speaking on his Fozcast podcast, he said: "Virgil's nowhere near the player he was at this point last season, and with Mo Salah, there's all sorts kicking off with him.

"It's why clubs are so wary about giving contracts to older players. These are big earners as well.
"You'd like to think that they're probably both on £300,000 ($413K) a week. If you go giving them two or three-year deals, then I just think you get to that point where you finally sign it, and you go, 'Right, that's me done.'
"There's nothing to suggest personally that they would have a drop off, except the hundreds of players before them that have done the same thing. Their character suggests to me that they wouldn't do that because they are professional.
"But we have seen it so many times where big-name players sign that big deal, and then the drop off is phenomenal.
"If they could get £40 million ($55.1 million) or £50 million ($68.9 million) for Mo Salah, and probably the same for Virgil Van Dijk, you're taking it."
Van Dijk has been a key member of Liverpool's team this season, starting every single Premier League and Champions League game.
The Dutchman has already racked up 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and picking up four yellow cards.
As for Salah, he's only featured 22 times for Liverpool across all competitions this season; scoring five goals and providing five assists.
