A place in the last-16 of the Champions League is within Liverpool's reach tonight as it hosts Qarabag in its final league phase encounter.
Although the Reds' Premier League form continues to disappoint, they are well placed to go far in Europe. They sit fourth in the standing of the opening stage ahead of kick-off later, with a top-eight finish ensuring they'll avoid playing an extra play-off next month.
That would come as a major boost to Arne Slot and his players, especially with injuries continuing to take their toll. Liverpool is set to play with just one recognized center-back tonight, with Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni all out of action.
