The transfer battle for Hugo Ekitiké is heating up, with Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United all in the mix. No matter who lands the French striker, PSG stand to benefit thanks to a 20 percent sell-on clause in his contract.
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany previously reported that Ekitiké is one of Liverpool’s top attacking targets. However, the 23-year-old knows that a move to Anfield could hinge on whether Darwin Núñez is sold.
According to a recent report from GIVE ME SPORT, Liverpool are prepared to open talks with Eintracht Frankfurt, though any potential deal may depend on Núñez’s future. The report adds that Liverpool are willing to negotiate, which has given Frankfurt some encouragement as they hold firm on their £86 million valuation.
With several new signings already through the door, selling Núñez could be the key to clearing space for Ekitiké, who tallied 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 appearances.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reported Thursday that Ékitiké has reached an agreement with Liverpool on a six-year contract.
The striker is fully committed to the move and has turned down interest from Manchester United in the past 24 hours. Newcastle have already pulled out of discussions. Talks are still ongoing between Liverpool and Eintracht Frankfurt as the two clubs work toward a final agreement.
