Long-term Tottenham transfer target expected to be sold under one condition this summer

A striker who has been on Tottenham’s radar for a long time is expected to be made available in the summer, and the race for his signature could intensify.

It appears unlikely that Tottenham will pursue a permanent deal for Randal Kolo Muani, who has struggled to find the back of the net across his loan spell at N17 so far.

Richarlison’s Spurs future is also reportedly in doubt beyond the summer, even though he remains the club’s top scorer this season with nine strikes across all competitions.

It has now emerged that a French striker whom Tottenham were credited with an interest in during January could be available in the summer.

Tottenham admire Jonathan David

Tottenham’s interest in Jonathan David goes back to his Lille days, but it was Juventus who won the race for the centre-forward last summer.

The 26-year-old has struggled in Turin, having just seven goals in 37 appearances so far this season. A new report in TEAMtalk has claimed that Juventus may cut their losses on David after just one season.

The Serie A club’s stance on the player has alerted several Premier League clubs, including Spurs, who are keeping themselves updated on David’s situation.

Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Everton, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and Leeds are also monitoring the Canadian international closely.

What is David’s stance on his future?

TEAMtalk explain that publicly David’s camp continues to insist that the player feels settled at Juve.

However, they are aware that an opportunity for a summer transfer could open up for their client. In fact, it is revealed that intermediaries have already spoken to several Premier League clubs regarding the striker.

The chances of the Old Lady selling David will increase significantly if the club manage to convince Dusan Vlahovic to sign a new deal.
