Tottenham injury news as an update emerges on Lucas Bergvall emerges after Spurs were handed a blow during the Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund

Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a high ankle sprain.

The 19-year-old played 62 minutes during Tuesday's 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League before being forced off after sustaining an injury to his left ankle. Bergvall was replaced by Jun'ai Byfield, who was making his senior first-team debut.

"It was a contact (injury), and they are assessing him now, so we will know more on Thursday," Thomas Frank told TNT Sports on Tuesday after the win over Dortmund.
