Liverpool's Conor Bradley has drawn comparisons to Zinedine Zidane after leaving teammate Luis Diaz, who could join Bayern Munich soon, red-faced during training.
The Reds are currently on a pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Japan, gearing up to defend their Premier League title in the 2025/26 season. However, if the 4-2 defeat to AC Milan at Kai Tak Stadium on Saturday is anything to go by, the players still need more game time following their well-deserved summer break.
Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo were eclipsed by strikes from Rafael Leao, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and a brace from Noah Okafor, although manager Arne Slot didn't field a full-strength team on the day.
While there's work to be done before their Community Shield face-off with Crystal Palace on August 10, some stars have certainly caught the eye on the training ground.
Liverpool shared footage from an in-camp session earlier this week, showing players being put through their paces in Hong Kong.
Mohamed Salah and Florian Wirtz received plenty of praise in the comments section of the YouTube upload, but Bradley also garnered compliments for his efforts against his teammates.
One clip that particularly impressed fans featured the 22-year-old right back showcasing his attacking skills.
After collecting the ball from the air with his back towards Harvey Elliott, the Northern Ireland international pivoted and outpaced the versatile winger with a burst of speed.
Diaz subsequently moved in attempting to tackle Bradley, only to be bamboozled by a roulette skill and left looking somewhat embarrassed.
Supporters of the Reds were swift to flood the comments section to express their appreciation for the youngster, who contributed significantly to Liverpool's championship-winning season last term.
One commented: "Conor Zidane," accompanied by a fire emoji, making comparisons between the talent and the Real Madrid icon who was renowned for his technical ability during his playing career.
Another added: "Conor Bradley is becoming alarmingly good very quickly. I think his future lies in attack. He's moving like Florian on the ball in these past few training clips. Beautiful to watch."
Meanwhile, a third continued: "Bradley is going to have an amazing season."
And a fourth opined: "You can tell Conor has gone up a level... who knows what his ceiling is."
