Luis Enrique has previewed PSG's Champions League clash with Tottenham on Wednesday night

Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has described Tottenham as a "strong side" but insisted Wednesday's Champions League clash will be different to the UEFA Super Cup final held in August.

Spurs raced into a 2-0 lead when the two sides met on August 13, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero putting Thomas Frank's side in a commanding position. Late goals from Lee Kang-in and Goncalo Ramos took the game to penalties, however, with the French side coming out victorious.

Since that game in Udine, Tottenham have struggled for consistency with the Lilywhites ninth in the Premier League having won five of their 12 games. The north Londoners are unbeaten in the Champions League, though, and sit tenth in the table having won two and drawn two of their four games.

PSG, meanwhile, are fifth in the Champions League league phase table despite their 2-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the last gameweek. Enrique's side are top of Ligue 1, too, and go into Wednesday's clash on the back of two victories in a row.

"Tottenham have had a great start to the season and are still unbeaten in the Champions League. Most of their players are internationals. They're a strong side," Enrique said during his pre-match press conference, as per PSG's official website.

"The Super Cup? That was the first game of the season; Wednesday's game will be different. It's a good memory because it ended well, but a bad memory if I think back to the first 60 minutes when we were struggling.

"We're more ready to be a dominant team and to win the match. Our goal is the same in every match: to be dominant. It will be difficult, but we'll be playing at the Parc des Princes, and we hope to play a very good match in front of our fans."

Asked about PSG's preparation for the match, Enrique added: "It's easier to prepare for; we don't need to talk much because you feel that it's a different match and a different competition for us. It's our competition, we're the defending champions and we want to continue on our path."
