Here’s everything you need to know about where fans can drink before the Carabao Cup final:
- Wembley rules: Wembley Stadium designates specific pubs for each set of finalists to maintain a strict separation of rival fan bases and prevent potential clashes in the local area. This strategy, coordinated with Brent Council and the Metropolitan Police, helps manage the flow of approximately 90,000 people through the Wembley Park and Wembley Central transport hubs.
- Man City pubs: Manchester City fans are directed to the West end of the stadium, with primary venues including traditional ‘away fans’ pub The Green Man. There are 11 venues allocated to City fans in total, with others including Crystals, The Arch, Station 31, The Robin, JJ Moons, The Corner House, Black Sheep (White Horse Square), Sixty Six Bar & Grill, La Regina and The White Horse
- Arsenal pubs: Arsenal supporters can gather at designated home fans establishment Boxpark venues such as The Torch, Crock of Gold, and the Blue Check. These locations are strictly reserved for those with tickets in the East end of the stadium, while other options for Arsenal fans include Wembley Tavern, Stadium Sports Bar, Black Sheep (Olympic Way) and Feed the Yak.
- Boxpark Wembley is located at 18 Olympic Way, Wembley Park, HA9 0JT. For this final, it is a ticketed event where supporters must book in advance to secure entry to the food hall and bar areas.
- The Green Man is situated at Dagmar Avenue, Wembley, HA9 8DF, and is a cornerstone for fans allocated to the West end. It features a large outdoor space and parking facilities, though it reaches capacity several hours before kick-off.
- Entry requirements: Entry to most designated pubs and the official Fan Zones requires a valid match ticket or proof of a stadium booking. Door staff will often perform ticket checks at the entrance to ensure only the correctly allocated supporters are entering the premises.
- Drinking ban: A Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is in effect across the entire Wembley estate, which means street drinking is strictly prohibited on Olympic Way and surrounding roads while nearby off-licences will not be selling alcohol on matchday. Anyone found with open or closed alcohol containers in these zones faces an immediate £100 fine from enforcement officers.
- Stadium rules: Inside the stadium, alcohol can be purchased from concourse bars but cannot be consumed within sight of the pitch. Fans are limited to purchasing four drinks per person at a time, and all bottle tops will be removed by staff at the point of sale.
