Manchester City defender Vitor Reis has completed his loan move to Girona.
The youngster will link up with City's sister club for the 2025-26 season, which gets under way next week. The 19-year-old arrived at the Etihad in January from Palmeiras and made four appearances for the Blues last term.
He also travelled as part of the Club World Cup squad and started the win over Wydad AC. But Reis was always earmarked as one for the future and a loan move this summer was expected.
His departure is expected to be followed by others as Pep Guardiola seeks to trim his squad after a £300million+ investment in talent this calendar year.
Reis follows fellow young centre backs Jahmai Simpson-Pusey and Max Alleyne in securing a loan exit with the academy graduates having joined Celtic and Watford respectively earlier this week.
Fellow youngsters Claudio Echeverri and Sverre Nypan may also depart on loan to further their development while City are in talks with Everton over a potential loan move for Jack Grealish.
Brazilian Reis signed a four-and-a-half-year deal when joining City and started in the FA Cup wins over Leyton Orient and Plymouth Argyle, as well as coming off the bench in a Premier League victory over Leicester City.
