Manchester City took a break from the Premier League title race to beat Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final, but Arsenal were in action against Newcastle United

As Manchester City beat Southampton to reach the FA Cup final, Arsenal stole a march on Pep Guardiola's side. City came from behind to overcome the Saints 2-1, after Jeremy Doku and Nico Gonzalez cancelled out Finn Azaz's spectacular strike.

Guardiola hailed his side's "extraordinary" achievement beneath the Wembley arch, which kept their hopes of another domestic Treble alive. However, when it comes to the Premier League title race, Mikel Arteta's side heaped the pressure back onto the Cityzens.
