Manchester City have frozen season and matchday tickets for the 2026/27 campaign and amended the ticket transfer system
Manchester City have frozen ticket prices for the 2026/27 season. At a meeting with fan board City Matters on Thursday night, the club informed supporters that season and matchday prices will not go up for the next campaign as part of a number of measures designed to keep matchdays affordable and enjoyable.
The club are introducing a new category for matchday pricing for some midweek fixtures in the season to recognise the added difficulties for fans when games are at night or moved from weekends. Tickets for those matches will start at £25 for adults.
City are also making changes to the ticket transfer system that have frustrated fans for the whole of this campaign. After listening to feedback, from next season supporters will be able to send their ticket to Blues without memberships and while it has to be within a list of 18 friends and family this list can now be added to all through the season.

It means that season tickets for the 2026/27 season will cost the same as back in 2024/25 after two successive years of freezing. Matchday tickets were reduced for this season, and will come down again in some instances for specific midweek fixtures.
Given price rises for season tickets announced at United, Liverpool, and Arsenal - with the latter also introducing a new category of A+ for matchdays that are deemed the biggest games of the campaign - City stand out for the right reasons among their rivals. Fan group City Matters have been clear all season about the need to freeze ticket prices again, while fan group 1894 have sent visual messages at games about the need to keep families at games and The Citizens Trust has launched to protect supporter interests.
The outstanding issue going into next season remains the North Stand, with 4,000 new season tickets coming into the stadium but no clarity on who is going to fill the top tier. Five hundred fans who are being moved from the bottom tier behind the goal to make way for a hospitality area have been frustrated that they do not feel they have been prioritised to help find a new home in the ground for next season.
