Manchester City news as the Blues take on Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will hope his side can continue recent momentum when they take on Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Blues boss named the same side for three games inside eight days last week before giving the majority of those players the night off in midweek as City cruised past Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup.
But with Guardiola having been pleased with what he saw in wins over Manchester United and Napoli, along with the draw at Arsenal, City will likely revert to type for the visit of the Clarets.
The Blues are already in a position where they cannot afford to drop too many more points and, while one eye must be on Wednesday's Champions League tie with Monaco, Guardiola will go strong for the visit of the Clarets.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will return in goal while first choice defensive pairing Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol can continue.
With Abdukodir Khusanov sidelined until after the October international break there will need to be a change at right back and Rico Lewis is perhaps best placed to benefit given City will likely have plenty of possession and the youngster exploited a similar set-up against Wolves on the opening day.
Mathues Nunes is another contender while John Stones came through his return to the starting XI at Huddersfield with no issues but there doesn't seem any huge need to rush the England international back into the team, particularly with Monaco on the horizon.
Nico O'Reilly, so impressive so far this campaign, can continue at left back in Rayan Ait-Nouri's absence provided the academy graduate isn't suffering with any fatigue issues having played in the last four fixtures.
In midfield, Rodri will surely come back into the XI with Tijjani Reijnders and Bernardo Silva alongside him. Phil Foden, revitalised and in fine form, can play off Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku has enjoyed a superb start to the season so will continue on the flank.
The likes of Savinho, who scored in midweek, and Oscar Bobb can provide attacking output off the bench if required.
City predicted XI: Donnarumma, Lewis, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly, Rodri, Reijnders, Bernardo, Foden, Doku, Haaland
