Manchester City battled through a stiff test against Burnley to return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Blues made it seven points from their last three league games with a 5-1 win over the Clarets at the Etihad.

Jeremy Doku was the star, and his early surge forced an own goal that looked to have opened the floodgates for City. But as they cruised through the first half they were stunned when Jaidon Anthony fired past Gianluigi Donnarumma to level the score.

Matheus Nunes scored one and then made one inside five minutes to calm any nerves inside the ground before Erling Haaland added two goals late on. Here are the player ratings from the Manchester Evening News.

Donnarumma: Made a decent save, couldn't do much for the goal. Largely a spectator with City dominating the ball. 7

Nunes: Could have done better for the goal but then scored one and made another to give City the win. 7

Dias: Seems to save his best performances for the bigger games, not getting close enough to Anthony and being troubled by Foster's pace. 6

Gvardiol: Didn't have much to worry about defensively and stuck it up for Haaland at the back post for the second goal. 7

O'Reilly: A nice partnership with Doku down the left that was City's most productive means of attack. 7

Gonzalez: It's tough being held to Rodri's standards, but it felt like Gonzalez didn't give City the control they needed. 6

Reijnders: Some nice runs that nearly came to something but ultimately couldn't influence the game. 6

Foden: Similar to Reijnders, he at least put the pressure on for the opening goal but nothing after came off for him. 7

Doku: City's best player by a distance, constantly causing problems down the left side and threatening the goal. A deserved assist at the end. 9

Savinho: Looked bright in a quick start by City but swiftly faded out of the game and was taken off early. 6

Haaland: Some poor efforts on goal in the first half, improved slightly by the header to set up the second goal and the late strikes. 8
