Manchester City eased through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a comfortable 2-0 win at Huddersfield.

Phil Foden scored and assisted and James Trafford was barely troubled as the Blues continued their momentum.

Foden was one of only two players to stay in the team following the Arsenal draw, with Pep Guardiola making nine changes and giving Divine Mukasa his full debut. It is to the credit of Foden and Nico O'Reilly that they did not look tired on their fourth start in 11 days.

Jaden Heskey and Reigan Heskey came off the bench in the final minutes to make their senior debuts, while there was also a shock return for Kalvin Phillips. Here are the player ratings from the Manchester Evening News.

Trafford: Took a risk early on when the ball took an age to come into the box but looked comfortable from that moment. 7

Nunes: Still too many loose touches or passes that slow City's momentum down, but he worked well with Bobb in the second half. 6

Stones: A few overhit balls from the back, although he took it upon himself to force the play and drove City on. 7

Ake: Won his headers and confidently knocked the ball about with Stones and O'Reilly as City monopolised possession. 7

O'Reilly: Excellent again, especially considering this was his fourth start in 11 days. Energy to get up the pitch and physicality to manage at the back. 8

Gonzalez: Looked good at winning the ball back, just didn't show enough patience to make the right calls when he was on it. 6

Lewis: Faded out of the game in the first half and was unable to get back in it, with only Mukasa and Trafford making fewer passes. 6

Foden: The best player on the pitch by a distance. He has more to give but he was sharp, precise, and didn't stop running. 8

Bobb: Made it tricky and tested the keeper in the second half, but will feel he can do more to get back into the team. 7

Savinho: Spent most of the game trying and frustratingly failing to be incisive, only to smash one in off the bar. 6

Mukasa: Very promising start to a City career that will surely feature more appearances this season, holding the ball up and offering smart passes. 7
