Manchester City were pegged back twice by Monaco in the Champions League with a late penalty denying them a win. The Blues were not at their best in the principality, although Erling Haaland was close to his and scored twice.
City felt like those goals should have given them the win, but Monaco kept themselves in the game and were rewarded late on when Nico Gonzalez was adjudged to have kicked Eric Dier with a high boot challenging at a free-kick. Dier picked himself up to earn his team a point.
The Blues will feel hard done to, but will have to settle for a point that extends their unbeaten run to six. Here are the player ratings from the Manchester Evening News.
Donnarumma: Could maybe have done better for the goal and got a strange booking but also produced some decent saves to keep City in front. 7
Stones: Playing right-back allowed him to glide forward in a way rarely seen since Istanbul, and he looked good doing it. 7
Dias: Had to try to avoid being isolated on the counter but marshalled the Monaco striker whenever he had to. 7
Gvardiol: A lovely ball for Haaland for the opening goal and he complements Dias at the back. 7
O'Reilly: Got involved in everything as he pushed up the pitch and produced the assist for Haaland's second. Terrific. 8
Rodri: Didn't look as commanding as he usually does and was booked for being forced to stop a counter. 6
Reijnders: Has divided opinion since the opening day and this was mixed but more good than otherwise from the shot-happy star. 7
Foden: Kept up his running stats and nearly linked up brilliantly with Haaland in the final third on more than one occasion. 7
Silva: Kept his width on the right for most of the game but wasn't able to really carry an attacking threat. 6
Doku: A few sighters early on but he never really got into the game like he has in recent matches. 6
Haaland: Two goals in seven touches in the first half and nearly another hat-trick late on. 8
